Full Bed to Day Bed Conversion

Had a full-sized wooden Ikea TARVA bed frame and foam Tuft & Needle mattress. We decided to convert it into a twin-sized daybed that will go in the east (front) bedroom.
Cut the bed frame with a hand saw and drilled holes to attach the two tension bolts and inset nuts. Then glued it all together, added glued and nailed gussets on the bottom, and metal braces underneath the gussets.
The Tuft & Needle Mattress is just two sheets of foam glued to each other (I feel stupid having paid for this but meh, it's been comfy), but is at least easily cuttable with a freshly sharpened long kitchen knife.
